Charity:Water is an organization that's sole purpose is to provide clean water for everyone in the world. In poor areas where many people have had no choice but to drink filthy water that has leeches and other such things we can't even fathom , they serve by digging wells that offer clean water for entire communities.

We tend to take our clean drinking water for granted. Others aren't nearly as fortunate. As a water lover myself, this is one charity that I want to help. It can have a huge impact for quality of life, including actually staying healthier and alive, for millions of people. Disease and death from drinking polluted water are constant occurrences in some areas. We CAN make a difference!

There was an entire issue of National Geographic devoted to the subject of the world's water supply several months ago. There is also a documentary out called Flow on the subject of water. I have both of them right now, and am going to make the time to study both for more knowledge on this highly important subject.
ReplyDeleteWater is one of my absolute favorite things in life. I love to drink it, cook with it, bathe in it, swim and soak,etc. I don't want to take it for granted when there are so many people who don't have the luxury of uncontaminated water.
Well I watched the Flow-for love of water movie and it was quite informative. It's quite disturbing to find out what's happening around the world with "blue gold."
ReplyDeleteHelping provide people with clean drinking water is definitely going to be one of my top priorities. There is no excuse for millions of people to die needlessly. This should be a basic human right for all. Greed of corporations,politicians, and other individuals or groups needs to stop.
If you care about human life please get informed and begin right away doing something to help.
You are so needed in this world to make your difference!
