Helping Earthquake and Tsunami Victims

From all that I've been reading, prayer and monetary donations are the best way for the majority of people to help those in need after the severe earthquake and tsunami in Japan. I wanted to share a list of places who are taking monetary donations to aid those in need of food, water, clothes, medical assistance, and anything else due to these natural disasters. If you can help, please do!

One extremely trustworthy place to give toward earthquake and tsunami relief. 100 % goes directly to relief as administrative costs are paid through special church offerings. UMCOR also is well known for offering long-term help after the initial crisis has abated.UMCOR is the United Methodist Committee on Relief. http://new.gbgm-umc.org/advance/projects/search/index.cfm?action=details&id=3021317&code=3021317 This info was shared with me by Sharon Carson.
The GreaterGood.org, which has several websites to help animals, people, the rainforest, and more is taking donations at hungersite.com . All you have to do is click on the picture that says Japan Earthquake & Tsunami- Help Now to get to the donation page. 100% of your donation will go to helping. Sponsors pay for expenses so that all money given goes directly to helping this cause. This is where I made my donation.

Here is a link to "7 Ways You Can Help the Earthquake and Tsunami Victims in Japan" http://t.co/LGaO3AP . It has links and helpful information.

If after reading this you know of any other organizations who are helping in relief efforts, please post below in the comments section.

Japan faces many difficult challenges ahead as they try to recover from all that has happened this past week. When we help others who live in this world, we also help ourselves. My heart goes out to those suffering.
